TALLINN-HELSINKI-TALLINN (170 km)
Breakfast. Transfer to the port for the ferry to Helsinki & tour around the capital of Finland. Helsinki is a quite & relaxing town, only half of its metropole area is urbanized while the rest is fullfilled by parcs, forests, coast & lakes. Visit of the town, including the church Temppeliaukio built on the rocks, one of the Cathedrals, the house of the composer Sibelius, the building Dipoli of the University of Technology of Helsinki in Otamieni, considered as a masterpiece of the XX c. Return to Tallinn.

Sovietic Legacy in the Baltics & Belarus
As extension, these following options show many exhibitions with museums related with the soviet era, & the ones which are more significative in the Baltic region.

TALLINN-PALDISKI (50 km)
Visit to the old soviet town of Paldiski, 50 km from Tallinn. The town remains the same as it was during the soviet ocupation. The visit includes, the fortress of Peter “The Great” & the biggest trainment center for nuclear submarines in the USSR.

TALLINN-TARTU (188km)
On the way to Tartu its possible to visit a “Forest Brothers farm”, that served as refuge for the resistence, that fighted until 1980 against the soviets. In the museum of KGB of Tartu there is also an interesting exhibition about Gulags, old bunkers, etc., Everything reminds those times fighting for the independence.

RIGA´S Occupation museum, which shows a great exhibition about the whole represive soviet system over all other cultures out of the russian. All documents are in many languages with big info about the life in Gulags.

RIGA-LIEPAJA (200 km)
Former militar base of Karosta, that from 1890 & under the tzar´s Alexander III order, was a fortress with rights of a town independent of Liepaja, out of many interesting buildings, the Orthodox Cathedral of St. Nicholasis the main sight.

RIGA-DAUGAVPILS (190 km)
Latvia´s second town has a russian atmosphere, due to its big russian population, & also for its soviet town aspect, that through the fortress built under tzarist regim & almost abandoned in front of the Daugava river, & was used as a Gulag, the many monuments from soviet times around the streets & bridges, & the curious catholic, lutheran & orthodox cemeteries for the fallen soldiers, all this post-WWII ambient is only possible to be found in very few places

VILNIUS KGB Museum, where it is possible to visit the whole building with its torture cells that the soviets used systematicaly against the Lithuanians.

VILNIUS-DRUSKININKAI (130 km)
Druskininkai, birth place of the famous lithuanian artist M.K. Ciurlionis. It is the biggest SPAs center of Lithuania, famous for its mineral waters. In the outskirts of the town, the soviet sculpture parc of Grutas. Its an open air museum where many monuments from the soviet era are exposed. The instalation is surrounded by fences & watch towers, & has a total of 65 statues of bronce & granite of the old soviet leaders Lenin & Stalin aswell as other comunist heroes.

BELARUS
The whole country is a cult to the comunist system, its like the time never passed under the rule of this dictator with moustache who controls & orders all as he wants. Out of Minsk & its huge memorials to the great patriotic war that saved the country from the nazis, the fortress of Brest is a unique place to feel & get an idea insitu of the history & watch it as it was left after the WWII.
